Texas has the highest rate of uninsured residents in the country, 25%, but Rick Perry says the state can’t afford the ACA’s Medicaid expansion. In reality, it’s Perry’s tax policies, some of the most regressive in the nation, that Texas can’t afford. And he’s not alone.
